all warning lights on the instrument panel light up and stay on.

hihi

another wierd thing on my 87 z auto

all warning lihts come up at the same time on the instruments panel and they stay on
aslo noticed a low voltage...

i unpluged the 2 wire conector from the alternator (cos i suspect someting is funky with it) and the warning lights operate normal.

so no charge and warning lights.... bad alternator ?

thankies for your wise advice.

You have a bolt located at the top of the alternator in the fron and the rear. The adjustment bolt is on the bottom at the fron of the alternator. All of them have to come all the way out. You also need to disconnect the plug and the ground from the back. You pull it out from underneath the car. You need to take the belly pan off. It should just about fall out.

I had to take the stabilizer (swaybar) down to have it go out. now all works beautifully !

Thanks !
