Attempted break in!

Today is another bad day for my Z. I woke up this morning to go get some tire work done but came home soon after realising that I'd need to wait untill tomorow. So I got home and parked my car in my usual spot, right out near the curb under the tree that sits infront of my house. I later went back out for a short trip to the store to grab a bite to eat. I came back home and left the car in the same, perfectly normal, place that I parked it earlier. The day went on with not much happening, my mom eventually made some food for dinner and my older brother went out to work. It wasn't untill around 6:30pm that I decided to go out to my car and check on one of the Z33 tires I have recently come to accuire when I look to see that my driver's side T-top has been smashed in two spots, completely shattering it into pieces. This really gets me going; It's not like I have any "enemies" and I haven't pissed anyone off recently so its just like "WTF?!"...so yeah, my t-top is gone, and it looks like i'll have to search the junk yard tomorow for something to replace it with(unless somebody has a better idea? ).... *sigh*

I know that the Ecology autowrecking down in Chula Vista has Z31's coming out their ears... probably have some up there too. Check them out, they are pretty reasonable and on rainy day's everything is 1/2 price!!!

Sorry about your car man. I feel your pain, at least they didn't steal the car like happened to me last year... only to get it back stripped. My buddy is over looking at a Z31 right now because his second one in six months just got totalled by a drunk driver. Things could be worse.

Thanks alot of the tips~ I will hopefully get a replacement through ebay. If not I have a friend who may be able to help me, he's got connections with people who work in alot of bodyshops/scrap yards.

Yeah, I am quite fortunate that nothing else went wrong besides the T-top being destroyed. I'll be sure to be alot more watchful whenever I decided to park it outside of my garage from now on.

My buddy may have a spare one he'd be willing to sell you.. we're in Escondido... not too far from you. It'd be better than waiting for someone off of ebay to send you one. If you're interested, let me know.

Well if you would be so kind as to find out if your friend infact can sell me the driver's side T-top for a 2+2 Z then I'll definently consider it. As for now, I am the apparent winner through ebay, however I am having trouble getting the deposit through. So technically I am able to buy the t-top but it may take upwards of a few weeks. So please, find out what your friend can do for us and I'll keep it touch.

JD, I wasn't aware that your car was a 2+2... Couldn't really tell from the pic at that angle. His car's were both 2 seaters. Pretty sure the T-Tops are smaller on the 2 seater. Sorry to get your hopes up.

Its allright! Thanks alot though; I was able to get my deposits through on ebay so I should have another t-top within the next week or so. Thanks alot for your help anyways, its allways apprieciated. And to clarify the size difference between the 2+2 and the 2 seaters; Yes, the 2+2's have larger t-tops.
