Auto to manual conversion

I have been considering doing a auto-manual swap on my 88 z31 and using the guide on zenonz31.com, i feel like i can do it. the only question is, once i get all the parts, about how long (hours) does it take and since i have an n/a, do i need to get the exhaust parts it lists? any help would be grateful since i need my car for my job.

here's the link for the step by step guide from zenonz31.com. http://www.xenonz31.com/autotomanualswap.html

thanks =]

How long it takes depends on your mechanical skill level. It will take a pro-mechanic a lot less time than a 14 year old cheer leader chick.

For the complete R&R for a first timer, you're looking at 10-20 hours.

rent or buy a tranny jack. with perserverance and don't take a lot of beer breaks. air ratchet maybe a buddy for some help. should be doable in under 12 hours. if you can pressure wash underside save a lot of dirt in the eye. remove seats. put down windows before you disconnect battery.

Because if you don't, you will be braking every time you shift.
