Brakes catching with parking brake off
Yesterday I got out of my car, and when I got back in, the brakes were still catching. I had the parking brake off, but I had to give it a lot of gas to move it, and then it would jerk to a stop. Happened in both 1st and reverse. I came back this morning to look at the parking brake line, but the car started to work fine without adjusting anything. Just wondering if it is the line that needs to be adjusted or something else.

Re: Brakes catching with parking brake off
Well, it was working, then it happened again after I drove it for about 10 minutes. I was trying to get it home to work on it, but the brakes were getting worse, it was taking more power to push it. Finally I got it into a empty parking lot and walked home. With the parking brake off, it would not even roll back on an incline. An hour later I came back and looked at it. It started to roll back a little bit with the brake off, but when I jacked it up the driver's side rear tire was giving resistance on turning it ( Did not test passanger rear tire.) Could this be something with the parking brake? I only figured that over time the brake would not hold as well as the cable become stretched or loose, not hold on tighter. Any help would be appreciated.

It's pretty easy to adjust. Just follow one of the cables from the caliper to the adjusting bracket. Have you done the brakes recently? I'd remove the rear wheels and take a look at the pads and calipers.
