Re: Car Amp Space?
hey i am sure that if you look around it is pretty easy to find an amp that you can put under your seat but that would be a bad move. I have herd some pretty good horrow stories of people that have tried to hide there amps that way and it almost always ends up bad. They don't always get enough air circulation under there and needless to say start some pretty good fires. But if you are willing to take the risk then i wish you the best of luck cause it does sound like a pretty decent place to hide one. I have lots of places i know in those cars where you can hide amps and stereo stuff though so if you want to know about some of them then you can e-mail me. John__Maverick@hotmail.com

Re: Car Amp Space?
I put my amp in the compartment behind the passenger seat behind the deck. I've run this way for two years and no fires. This was an upgrade on my original 87Turbo stereo system which had started a loud howling sound that I couldn't get rid of. I think it was the pre-amp under the passenger seat. I purchased most of my gear from Crutchfield and aside of the downside of not having the steering wheel buttons work to control the stereo anymore, I have no regrets.
One thing I have found that is pretty great is the SONY ES cd/receiver controlling a six mini-disc changer mounted right behind the passenger seat on the rear deck. I can change mini-discs from the driver's seat and love the versatility of being able to play cd's or mini-discs in my car. Good luck. P.S. I found the faceplate that Crutchfield included with the head-unit install kit was much nicer than what my local stereo shop guys would have used!
