The car I wish I kept

So this is the 1988 300zx I had. I regret it every day that I sold it. It's main purpose was to be a temp car because I bought an M3 and it had issues with the title and was impossible to get in time so I bought the Z.

This was the first day I got it. It was absolutely disgusting. It was from an auction so I had no idea what I was getting into.

It obviously had a lot of problems. the bushing were shot all around in the back and the drivetrain clunked every time I shifted. So it needed not 1 but 2 donor cars!

It took awhile to fix up but it was sure worth it. I wish I took more pics of it. I know I have more somewhere. I just wish it was turbocharged and possibly a 2+2 because some of my passengers had to ride in the trunk lol

After I got the M3 registered, I pretty much forgot about the Z. Experiencing all that power for the first time is defiantly overwhelming. Now my leg is about to fall off from driving that heavy clutch every day so I need anther Z!

If I ever find it again I would probably buy it back but now I'm trying to find a Shiro or possibly import a Fairlady 200zr since I have a bigger interest in straight 6 engines

Welcome to ZDriver.

Nothin wrong with driving an E46 M3. Except for all it's quirks (what BMW owners have to put up with, eh?!)

Thanks!

Haha yes no one will ever let me in if I try to cut over! If they see my blinker on they always speed up..

Look for it and buy it back. Chances are the current owner is tired of the problems a 27-year-old car keeps having. If he/she isn't a true Z-type, it's probably sitting in a driveway somewhere with a dead battery and a flat tire. Start with a Carfax report on it, check the town the most recent owner lives in and do a search and rescue. I know the car will be glad to see you again.

Lets hope he didn't send it to the crusher. I wish it was still here to leak oil and ruin my driveway again
