Cat converter gone bad
I am in New Orleans, La and need a referal for Z repairs while here in New Orleans. My Cat converter is gone bad and it's making the car perform aweful not to mention the gas it's using. Recommendation (all) will be considered!
I would just put a straight pipe on it but I reside in Georiga and we have emission that have to occur each and every year! I also have to replace my muffler. Any suggestion on that as well. I have a 86 non-turbo
Thanks in advance for all of the advice and suggestion. Past and Present!!!

heres what I did. high flow catalytic converter from www.certifiedmuffler.com its custom made to fit your Z. 155 dollars.
I put a HKS Turbo exhaust system from the cat back on and its awsome but its made for the turbo cars. I dont think itll fit your car. certified muffler makes 2.5" cat back systems for Zs too if you want to shop there. I actually dont know what size the stock system is on a N/A.

Any muffler shop can fix you up. They'll have a shelf full of converters and mufflers, just waiting for you. Mienke will take care of you, and, they're national. If the "big easy" Mienke does the work, your hometown Mienke will be there for you if something breaks or wears out too soon.
