cruise control module
Does any one know where to find the cruise control module? I have taken the bottom of the dash apart but do not see the mod. but did find that the pedal bumpers had fallen off so made some out of rubber suction cups that you find on radar detectors that when cut work great. But if anyone knows please answer .
Thanks, The Eagle

Re: cruise control module
the cruise control module is located in a cubbyhole behind the drivers side foot area.
if you remove the trim around the fusebox, you will see the fusebox and a relay strip with 5-6 relays in it. remove the hex nut holding the relay strip in and pull it out of the way. There is a rubber (sort of) piece covering a hole there in the side of the car - peel it away (along with the jute backing attached to it, and the ascd box is in that hole. If you need a replacement one, or more instructions and/or pictures, let me know and i'll get some out to ya.

Re: cruise control module
on second thought, it may be located a bit higher than the relay strip, you still shouldn't have to pull the dash though - just maybe remove some of the ductwork so you can get to the bolt that holds the box on there. Remember, it won't be obvious cause it's hidden behind a piece of rubber and insulation.

Re: cruise control module
Have you tried it since you replaced the plugs? Typical problems are with the plugs falling out (brake and clutch if applicable) and a vacuum leak. Highly unlikely that the module itself went bad. If the first light comes on when you turn the main power on, then the module is probably operating normally. If the second light comes on, but doesn't do anything, you have a vacuum problem or the cable from the CC actuator is broken/out of alignment. If the second light doesn't come on, you have a plastic piece missing or the clutch or brake pedals aren't positioned properly.

PS: z31.com is more speciallized in only doing the Z31 model. It contains much more information about the Z31 model. The forum is easier to read and browse. But Morgan needs to fix the server so it isn't as slow anymore. But that's what happens when that many people hit the site all the time. This site isn't hit nearly as much for Z31 questions. That may change over time, but Z31.com has been around a lot longer. Transition will not come quickly.
...and from the ashes shall rise a new hope. And it shall be known as "Z". And it will be good.
