ECU Diagnostic, Emissions help
I just got my car's emisions tested today, sad to say I failed but here are the numbers.
HC (ppm) 303 (Allowed 220)
CO (%) 5.36 (Allowed 1.2)
CO2 (%) 11.4
This reading was taken at 1079rpm's. We were told it is the O2 sensor, we concure, just wanted to see what any of you all had to say.
Also, did an Ecu Diagnostic to see if anything else was wrong.
I got codes
24---------(Nuetral/Park swith malfunctioning)
Whats this mean?
31---------(Malfunctioning Air conditioning system)
I can understand this, we have my radio out so we took everything out, put in the radio and Air out of my parts car to see if it worked, Air works fine, radio doesn't.
23---------(Throttle valve switch (idle switch) Circuit malfunctioning)
Don't know what this is either.
Any help or advise would be appreciated.

i got those same codes in my ECU. here is what I found out.
24 neutral park switch. Im not exactly sure what it does but its a little sensor on the side of the transmission. its 20 bucks at the dealer.
31-- A/C mine too but it blows cold air so I dont know what could be wrong
23-- throttle position sensor. a 90 dollar part at the dealer. on the side of the throttle body. someone told me it probably just needs to be adjusted but I have NO idea what he means by that. i think he said it tells teh computer how open the throttle is but I dont know why
O2 sensor was a easy change. on driver side of engine. just had to remove a few pieces of metal to get at it

Thanks, Ill make sure the throttle switch is pluged in real good before hand. I think I know what your talking about. Wonder if these thing's would have any effect on performance other than probably running rich because of the O2. Anyway, thanks for the help.
