Estimate how much my Z is worth?
Hey everyone, I know this is a tough question but recently money has been extremely tight and I am having to give up some of my possessions. One that I will be needing to get rid of if my Z. So I am trying to get an estimate of what these cars are worth. I bought it for $800 and it has been a reliable car ever since until recently. But there's a difference in reliable and good condition lol.
Here's what I have and what's going on with it.
It's an 88 300zx non turbo white in color. Unfortunately I have no pictures on here. But the body is in fair condition, hoods got 2 dents, small rust around wheel well, clearcoat peeling in the back.
Now for the bad part about the car, heat doesn't work, temperature gauge doesn't work right, oil pressure gauge doesn't work, someone stole the muffler, rear brake pads (probably rotors now too) need replaced. Alternator just started going out. Only pulling 12 volts, and the car fails to start after sitting for a while. Has around 190k miles.
The car has been my DD until the alternator went out. It's still capable of being taken out on a test drive, and starting up with a jump and it drives smooth, shifts good, and so on. There's no leaks or smoke. But let's say with the information you have to base it off of right now. What would you price the value at if it's your vehicle, or a price in which would interest ones looking for this type of vehicle to buy it?

Prices vary widely around the country. Rust seems to be the big turn off for most buyers and at least some of yours is body-visible. The mechanical work it needs won't stop a rabid Z-wanter but def lowers the price. Interior is another big deal for buyers to ask about. I could give you a better idea of how much to ask/accept if you could post a few pics and tell us where the car is now (state/city). Also a good idea to check Craig's list for your area and see what's being offered.
