Experienced Z owners advice needed. URGENT!

Ive done a lot of research and ive hit a wall. I have a 1984 Z31 Turbo 50th Anniversary Edition w/ 5 speed transmission. I am going to swap a 1985 Turbo motor and harness into my car while retaining my 1984 ECU (1985 was also 5 speed). From what I have found this shouldn't be a problem because both have the low-impedence injectors and from what I read an 84 ecu will work on an 85.

The 1984 Turbo system is oil cooled only whereas the 1985 has both oil and water. Is there any electrical difference between the harnesses that I am going to run into? Will this plan of mine work? I am pretty knowledgeable with the S chassis but this is my first Z and I have much to learn. Thanks in advance

the harness is identical. just make sure you swap over all of your sensors from the AE engine to make the digital dash work properly ( if the 85 motor wasnt digi dash) .. ie: oil pressure, coolant sensor, etc

check O2 sensor compatability. I think 84,85 the same and 86 different but they need to work with the ecu
