Fusible link info for '88 N/A

I am trying to replace the fusible link closest to the front of the car under the cover near the battery. The cover labels it as "BAT". The color of the bad link I am taking out is grey, but it may not be the right color. Is it the right color and if not what is? Where can I purchase a replacement?

Thanks,
Larry

On my buddy's 86NA it's grey. The link in my 88 was previously cut and connected by electrical tape. i went to the junkyard and there was a blue one so i used it. i dont think it matters what the color is

Thanks. The color should indicate the amperage of the link. Using one with too high amperage rating would keep it from protecting the circuit. I have looked through the manual and can't find an amperage ratings chart. I could also splice in a fuse holder for a modern fuse if I had the rating for the "BAT" fusable link.
Anybody know?

Thanks,
Larry

I was able to get the right Grey fusible link at Youngernissan in Frederick Md for under $20. Plugged in and good to go. No alternator nightmares.

Thanks, Larry
