Have a write up for a 4 wheel lug mod to a 5 lug?

Does anybody have the write up or can post the thread for an 1985 300zx 5 wheel lug mod from a 4 wheel lug including the brake calipers? Thanks.

Since that model of Z came with both 4 and 5 lug hubs, wouldn't you just find a used strut assembly for the front and a-arm and hub for the rear? Just bolt them in.

That's probably the simplest/cheapest way...

I used Google for you and found this page as the first result.

http://z31.com/mods/

87-89 front hubs, rotors, and calipers bolt right on to any 84-86 strut.

It doesn't mention the turbo 5 lug in prior years but I would bet it is the same. I have some 1987 Z31 struts for sale.

WOW! Appreciate that! will that work for the rear as well or am i better swapping out the whole rear suspension and going with one off a 88-89 rear control arm and all? How much ya asking for those struts?

If you read the link above it mentions the rear for 1987-89 doesn't bolt on, but the whole a-arm with brakes will bolt on. I would conclude that the 1984-86 5-lug does bolt on by the way it is described.
I am asking $75 for both complete struts with brakes.

I could include just the hubs, rotors, and calipers for you to save a lot on shipping.

do you want to go for the entire struts or just the hubs, rotors, and calipers?

I just wanna make sure i got this correct. I can take the whole front strut assembly off an 87-89 turbo with the 5 lug pattern and bolt that right into my 85 NA with no problem? Now on the rear control arm I can easily bolt on one from an 87-89 as well right on to my 85. Now here is a question that has been confusing me a bit. On the z31.com it stated that I may need to replace the half shaft depending on the rear control arm but i also will have the porblem of worrying about an offset. I have an 85 NA, so is that meaning I need to get a rear arm from the 87-89NA to fit my 85NA so that the half shaft matches right up or can i replace the half shaft to fit it, or do i need to go another route to connect it? I was going to get the rear control arms off an 89 turbo from a wrecking yard and slap them on but i'm worried that the half shaft from my 85NA will not match up to the rear control arm of the 89 turbo. I know this is small cookies for ya but bare with me I wanna learn how to do this on my own. Ever since i left the marines, life is not that great with this recession especially for a wounded combat veteran. Good work is hard to find and tight on a budget. I would like to get this right every bit of the way. Thanks.
