She pulled that number out of her ***, or the seller told her that to drive the price up. Anyone who gives you a number of how many are left is full of ****.
Also, there were 5148 produced for the United States.

someone at z-whizz or in my z club told me there are around 1079 left in this country of around 5 000 built for this country. so it was someone elses *** it came out of--i checked for brown stuff first.....the idiot from whom i saved the car did not know jack sh-- and had not put the car together well at all......AND before i bought the car i went to AZ ZBum's site and got most of my info there, so if i have my head up my *** it was gotten from a source that is supposed to be..fairly accurate and knowledgeable...........

I have no idea where you came up with those numbers because I've NEVER said anything of the sort. I've always said that anyone who gives any number is full of ****. ALWAYS. It's one of the myths about 50th AE's that I continue to argue about.
Please, tell me where I said anything like that.

i think she is saying she got all her info from you about assembling the car, and was trying to make a point to no avail using that. lol. other wise she stated some one out of her club gave you that number, but yes it is near impossible to find out how many AE's are left, you can find out where many of them are..... if you have each and every one's VIN number. or at least where it last was sold/repaired extensivly.

for your information, there are exactly 1.2852 billion ants in Colorado.
Haha I'm kidding, but numbers like that are difficult to produce. How do they add/factor in sucessfully the ones that are in barns, or old ladies drive, or etc.
I'd bet the number is higher than that guestimated one above though... <(my bet is also just a guess as I don't have a clue, but it seems reasonable)

There’s no way to know just how many 1984 AEs are left.
That’s because 1984 AEs can be positively identified by the shock absorber placard only and not the VIN no. Each state has every registered vehicle’s VIN number contained in their motor vehicle records but not the placard info. So even if you had access to every state’s motor vehicle files, you still wouldn’t know how many AEs are left. Even if you did have access, an estimate is the best you could get.
The total no. of remaining 1984 z31s could be counted. Write a computer program and increment a tally if a motor vehicle record has a 1984 z31 VIN no. You could then calculate the approximate no. of remaining AEs based on the total number of AEs sold versus the total no. of 1984 non-AEs sold.

The prices of AE's have not been what they should be, so one selling for 3k does not surprise me at all. Some are of course in rough shape, but sadly I've seen nice examples going for that price range.

Well whatever the number of A/E's is you can minus one off of that now
