legal help or tips.

Some of you may know that I bought an 86 turbo with clean vin but no title or papers. I've already talked with the dmv about ownership rights and was told to take it to the bailiff in the washoe justice court.

Before I get all presentable, what are things I can say to help me keep the car in my posession? And what are things that would shoot me in the foot. Should I say that I paid for it or not. Or should I say I paid less than asking price for failure of presenting a title. Or am I screwed because I bought a car with no title. I don't want to say something wrong and then lose the car.

HELP!!!

well it's not like you are bringing the car i would just let them know the truth cause usually you have to take an oath or sign a affidavit or something like that. there is no reason to lie if you checked the vin and it came back clean.

The guy who sold it to me ran the vin at the dmv and it was clean. He said he was tired of waiting for the title from the true owner and dumped the car on me. He never took it this far. I ran a vin check too and its still clean after 6 months so... the guy must really not care.

Tell them it was abandoned on your property for x amount of days and tell the guy you bought it from, if anyone calls about it, to say he doesn't know anything about it.

Its mine! It only took a day and a half, but the judge schroeder of the washoe justice court vested clean title and registration to me. The z is mine ladies and gents! It did cost $49 for thepaperwork. But smog and insurance, new tires and getting that damn radiator fan to work still stands in my way.

she needs new shoes, and a working radiator fan. after that i can check or change out the some of the gaskets, its been almost 4 years since the rebuild, and judging from the smoke in near the engine, i have a feeling somebody put too much oil in her.. also i gotta do a compression test and check the plugs. i wish i had more tools.

oh yeah... my AC compressor is still full of "apple juice". and im considering removal, as there hasnt been a belt to drive it in god knows how long i dont even know if it the pulley still works, i dont have airflow in the dash anyway (blower motor issue?).

hopefully ill have a way to defrost the windshield before this winter, though the heater core was removed, do i need a heater core to defrost the windshield (this is why im not a mechanic)? or would moving air be enough?

i need to know what kind of tires to put on her... the rear 2 tires have uneven wear on the insides of the tire, how can this be fixed before purchasing or ruining a newer set of tires? and what size tires do i use for the front and back wheels? are they different widths?
