New member... have a couple of questions...
I JUST bought my 300zx yesterday, anyways, the speedo doesn't work, the accelerator thing doesn't work, from what I understand the fuel tank sending unit is ****ed, and the the oil, voltage and water temp gauges are screwing up... and my compass is fooked.
oh yeah, I checked all the fuses, but the stereo in the car doesn't work, won't turn on. I checked the connections on the back of it, but still won't cycle up...
Sorry I'm a toyota guy, and new to these nissans, but from what I've seen of the car, I allready love it...
I paid $600 canadian for it... hehehe

Well ok, the speedo just stays at 0.
On another note, do these cars have HG problems like the mkiii supra has? I blew the hg in my supra, the 300 was supposed to be my work car... and it over heated bad yesterday, and now the engine has a really bad "ticking" sounds more like its coming from the valve train, but I don't know enough about these cars, or their engines to know for sure.

if the speedo just says "0", then the sending unit is bad, or the actual cable is bad or gummed up. If anything doesn't light up, its because the power supply module is bad. Typically, the trip odometer gauges are the first to go.
The engines in the Z31 do not have the HG problem. The biggest problem is when a timing belt breaks. Just be sure it is changed every 60k miles and you should be fine.
Read these following links completely, and you should be all caught up with the Z31. Oh, and if you haven't already, buy a Haynes manual. It's the best $15 you can spend on your car.
