Oil pressure gauge braided/nylon/copper/plastic

What do you guys recommend for a mechanical oil pressure gauge I've been reading up on the dangers of running a mechanical but I'm not going to run an electric so whats really the best line to use. Right now I'm using just the one that came with the gauge it's away from anything that can heat it up too much or cut it. I am concerned of that chance the line just loses a seal though and starts spraying hot oil inside the cockpit of the car or engine bay for that matter.

Dont ever use those cheap mechanical oil pressure gauges. Buy an electronic auto meter brand, and get the adapter 1/8npt to 1/8 bspt auto meter part number AUM2269.

+1 on going electric. I have had mechanical gauges on an old MG and Triumph spitfire that have failed on me. Nothing like hot oil dripping behind the dash and onto your carpet, or worse your right knee.

check harbor freight nice unit just fits in to the dash where you now have gages. I am using one for fuel pressure and they make a matching boost gage. Maybe no longer carry couldn't find them online .if you got one close by worth a shot to take a look. But for shure go electric. Don't forget to buy the sender. I've had really good luck with VDO gages
