Rear Quarter Panels
Im new to the forum and i am in desperate need for rear quarter panels on both driver and passenger side on a 1986 300zx NT.
I have been looking around and have been unsucessful in finding anyone who will custom make them or has used rear quarter panels.
Does anybody have any suggestions on where i can get rear quarter panels at a affordable price?

Welcome to ZDriver!
Have you checked with Nissan? JCWhitney? Your local auto body supply warehouse? The local junk yards (www.car-parts.com)?
Is your Z31 a 2seater or 2+2?

its a 2 seater with T-tops.
I have called local junkyards and found a few places most probably cost 250$ a side--not too bad.
This one junk yard has 87 300zx rear panels. Does anybody know if the rear bodies are similar enough between the 86 and 87 ?
i have checked Nissan and JCwhitney--Nissan will cost a lot and JCwhitney would have to custom make it.

www.zcentre.co.uk is a U.K. company that sells z31 patch panels. I don't know if they still do.

Replacement rear quarter panels are NLA. 87-89 are slightly different that 84-86. The wheel opening flares are bigger. I have cut them out and they are a bitch due to the inner reinforcement structure. Insurance companies usually total our cars when rear quarter replacement is needed due to the extensive time and labor needed to replace them.
