Re: recalls
go to http://z31.com and read the section entitled Recalls/TSBs. The only one you will ever be able to get is the one about the fuel injectors, so it's not even worth looking at.

Re: recalls
I don't know if they'd laugh at him... probably more of a bunch of dumb blank stares. Then, when he left, they'd all get together and laugh.

Re: recalls
There was a recall on 84s to replace the headlight switch on the steering column because it was manufactured with corrosive grease, which corroded the contacts and rendered one or both low or high beams inoperable. You should still be able to get and Dealer to replace the switch for free. that was off of z31.com

Re: recalls
First: I already told you that the only thing you'd get done would be the injectors if they hadn't already.
Second: TSB is not the same as a recall.
Finally: I seriously doubt your car was MANUFACTURED FROM JULY TO SEPT. 1983
Now, next time you ask a question, I suggest you try READING THE ENTIRE MESSAGE.
Now, as for my experience:
I've had one of my Z's for over 8 years and 110,000 miles (it now has 215,000 miles on it). I stopped taking it to the shop to get worked on 6 year ago because I was in college, and I would rather have spent money going out than giving it to someone else for doing the work I could just as easily do. There is nothing YOU can possibly tell me about these cars that I don't already know. And there's probably still lots I have to learn.

Re: recalls
Yeah, AZ has a lot of ZX's compared to most people, and he is very smart when it comes to working on them.

Again, goto a Nissan dealership and tell then that they should replace your headlamp switch since its a 'factory defect' and see what happens; or even better, do it yourself.

I called my local nissan dealer and gave them my VIN and MADE them check for the recall work done on the car in their computer. they were like what the hell are you asking for a car this old but they did as I kept pushing them, and they were able to tell me....try that and let us know.

Thx in advance
