I ordered some adjustable Red Tokico Illumina shock n spring kit for my 1988 300zx Turbo. The rear was a simple slide in but the front shocks do not slide into the tube. The tube is too small for the shock to slide in. Do i need to go to the z32 and pull the cartridge tubes off to make them slide in and fit? Thank you!

Front Illumina's ONLY fit turbo strut tubes. Is it possible someone has put NA front strut tubes on your car?

 

That's what I was thinking but no they are original. And it's not possible to mix the front n rear up. Rear is installed and fit perfectly. I was thinking bout getting some strut tubes from a z32, or try another 88 turbo strut tubes to see if they fit. But I thought I'd check on here first.

 

Z32 strut tubes will not work on your Z31. Check the part numbers to make sure you were sold the correct front struts for your car.
