hi, i just got a 1988 300zx 2+2.....and i'm only 16 ......anyways, i put some new (but cheap to last me for a while) back speakers into the car because the stock ones were like all bad. Here's the problem tho, when i turn my stereo on, the speakers start to thump in a pattern, i don't kno why but they do. Does any one kno what is wrong with it??? Once i get some cash i am gonna buy a new System but for now i have the stock stereo.........what should i do to get rid of the thumping out of the speakers???

 

Turn the stereo down and wait a second and back up. Mine does it to sometimes. don't know why. Just buying time 'til I replace it with the deck I want. (Just don't have $250 I can justify on a deck right now...lol)

Yeah, mine did that too...i have an 86 na, and i had the sweet stock stereo w/the equilizer and all...but did that too. But, the problem was fixed when i changed the deck to a new JVC cd player...i dont know what was wrong, but sounds great now.

 

Yea, changing it out kind of fixes that problem. heh.

I dont know if it's in the volume controls or what?!?! But I knwo either turn it all the way down or off. Mine has done it far less than it use to. Use to be like every time I turned it all the way up, started the car, rolled down the windows, or just looked at a fine chic. I think in the last month though, it's only done it once.

I'm gonna try some contact spray (if I ever remember to pick some up) But it's not doing it as much, I may just leave it alone 'til I can afford the deck I want. (by that time it'll be outdated and I'll never find one...lol)
