vg30dett
Would it be easier to just to swap a vg30dett and replace the vg30det or is there away to add on another turbo. I know that if I add on another turbo that I will have to switch around all kinda parts but which would be easier. Its either that or get a bigger turbo. I just want two turbos instead of one. Is that so much to ask. Or can I just add water and one will instantly grow.

considering that the vg30et(z31) and vg30dett(z32) have the same block (vg30), I bet that if you took the upper and lower intake( there might be twin tb's on a z32) and the full set of exhaust manifolds along with the tubo plumbing and two identical turbo's, it would work. but why would you want to? it is easier to get extra power from a vg30et than a vg30dett. just imagine, youwill have to buy 2 of every turbo component, and you can't usr the cheap upgrades like bleeder valves because the turbos have to be running equal psi for optimum performance. I say stick with a single turbo and maybe swap pn som dohc heads from a j-spec model or something, but there are plenty of things to do to a z31 turbo. (don't forget to read the turbo faq on z31.com)

p.s.- if start to run out of power increases with you stock turbo, you could always bolt on a to4B, but don't do that before you do some ohter mod due to the fact that bigger turbos equal more lag.

VG30ET Block differs
The original intent of your statement is wrong. The DOHC engine block difffers significantly from the earlier SOHC engine block, to the point that the 'heads' are not interchangeable. Everything may line up perfectly well, but the heads will not bolt up. And since the heads are aluminum andthe block is steel, well there is no hope there. If you want more more, build up your SOHC Engine.
