Weird port on steering column?

Weird port on steering column?

looks to be some sort of USB plug on the column..just wondering what it's for....

seeing as USB wasn't around 'till the mid '90s, it's likely not a USB port. time for a pic.

I know it's not an actual "USB" port but it looks like some sort of port for maybe a scan tool or something but as far as I knew these cars didn't have anything like that... It's located on the lower half of the plastic column cover on the ignition cylinder side... It it connects to a 2 pin connector that I can't follow back to anything. As far as a picture my a is in another town and I only see her on weekends right now

dude... Thanks I feel like a retard... It looked hella deep like a plug for something but only had 2 wires going to it lol mystery solved.
