So I'm going to replace my valve cover gaskets and i wanted to know what else I should consider replacing and/or checking while I'm in there.

My Z's been been sitting for about a year and a half.
So I know there's gotta be tons of stuff I should be checking and fixing.

All suggestions would be super fantastical.
Even the smallest detail.
I want my Z running right. ^__

 

You could check the main timing belt behind the covers or even replace it. And take screw driver to the wires of each injector while car is running and put it to your ear and listen each one should make a clicking sound threw the wires right above the plug. Check ignition timing with a timing gun.
check for vacuum leaks. You could also check valve height.

 

Vacuum lines, since you'll probably break a few while removing them to get the valve covers off.

 

I bought my 87' n/a and the first thing I did was do a head gasket kit on it, replace the timing belt, any vacuum lines and check the ignition system. These cars dont like to sit at all. Nissan designed them to be driven......
