White just happens to be my favorite color Z. I have 3 white Zs right now (86NA hardtop, 86T and 85NA hardtop), and I had 2 others before these (86NA and 86T).
Just to show i'm not prejudice though, I have an AE (silver/black 2-tone), a black '85NA, and a flat black (6-cans of krylon) 84T....

go price them at the dealer then quit your whining.
even the junkyard charges me over 20 for them (not including the entrance fee for the Picknpull, or the hassle/sweat involved in convincing it to let go of the car....)

White is just easiest to maintain. Personally, I think black looks the best, but it shows dirt so easily. I only have one white car, and that's my Jeep. The Z's are Dark Pewter; Silver/Black two-tone (AE); and one that was white is now tan, will be all silver.

It doesn't do any good to check prices cuz you always buy the best stuff before I get there. Next time you see a scoop would you grab it for me? That hole in my hood looks sooo bad. Pretty please I might trade you a turbo tail light lens for it...

The more I play with and work on this dang thing the more I tend to agree with you. I took mine out last night because the Street Machine Nationals were in town, so I thought I'd give it a pass up and down the cruise stretch. I only saw one other Z31 driving but I did get some ppl to take a look, so it still gets some attention.

White is good
My Z is white. White is a very nice color (Especially after I wash it.), but my personal favorite is black. I love AZ's AE that he has, its very nice. I want an AE, I think I found one for sale that I will check out later on near my friends house.

uhhh, what's with white and black? am I the only one who likes how z's look in red? personally, i love it, makes my z stick out more from the normal cars at my school, all those hondas, eep,(not a single other 300zx in the lot)
btw, 6 zs???????? good grief, you can drive a diff. one almost every day of the week,... if all of 'em were working

mynes a rust color right now 
but i think im going to paint it red as its been red befor. and like under hood is still red. Altho if i had the money to paint it nice i would go for silver or black

Why White
OK BIG DADDYS here, So you want to talk ZZZ LET rock!!!! frist, why white,the steal from japan tends to rust easy and unless you cut and weld ,youll see the repairs with a dark color. NOW thats just one reason for a repant..(2) 85,86.87, the color most ordered was white just like the 50th AE is silver and black..I own 2 both 1986s 1 is white the other is a gray..the white needs a little work in the QUARTS... THE GRAY ONE IS MINT. but still everyone loves the white one I could list all the things i put in the gray car but its to long..to me i love them all ...the best years are 93,94.95. check it out....
