Yes that is a buddy of mine. His CRX runs mid 13s at the drags & kicks *** on a road course. He has 217 whp & weighs in at 1900lbs.

I dynoed at 330 whp & 409 wheel torque with a 4 lb boost leak & 2.5" cat back choking my ride. I ahve since put on a 3" cat back to match my 3" down pipe & test pipe and have fixed my boost leak. It hauls!

that is one sweet vid. and your z is sexy, it has always been one of my favorite z31's in the looks dept. that kaminari spoiler is, IMO, the best aftermarket one for the z31.

^ it's not as far fetched as it may seem since the SR did come in fwd format in quite a few Nissans (not so many stateside though).

Wow I've been away for a while. Best 1/4 mile time was 13.3 @ 106mph in the Vegas 105+ degree heat with a 4lb boost leak & 2.5" cat back. I have since gotten a 3" cat back (to go along with the 3" down pipe & test pipe I already have) and have gotten rid of my boost leak. I am putting in a plenum spacer soon & then hope to get to the dyno & track again for new numbers.

Song is I'm So Sick from FlyLeaf. Another buddy of mine is making a new video for me. I'm gonna mix a couple of songs together for it.

My car is in the MSA (Motorsport Auto) Z car calendar - October. My car will then be in the Nissan Sport Magazine in the spring.

man that post is really late, like two or so months..lol. that car is hella nice, lovin it. And to me that 1/4 time is kinda slow w/300hp hmm, prob. the leak and heat.

Naw... not really. I have about 270whp and I was runnin 14.4 @ 98mph (partially due to no traction). It takes a lot of power to get to the low 13's. My buddy's 360whp C5 Vette ran 13.1 @ about 112mph (see video: http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...ismopick&hl=en ) Of coure the Vette is also heavier than the Z31.

yeah but i think our prob. is the high altitude but no traction is also a prob. Especially w/ the stock rims/tires. In ca my friend has a 67 chevelle, w/ like 290 hp, and is heavy as hell, ran like 13.8 or some thing, maybe like low 14's. hmm, i'm gonna have to go to the drag before the ecu swap and see what i gain.

Better late than never, right?

Anywayzzzzz......My boost would come on & peak at 18lbs but fade off to 12ish right away. So my peak whp was 330 but it fell off sharply after that. With my mods list 330whp is a little low as well. That's why I'm itching to get back to the dyno & track to see the improvements. Not to mention that I am running 21lbs of boost now. Should make for some good numbers. I don't have traction issues at the drags as I have already pulled 1.8 & 1.9 sec. 60' times. I'm also putting on coilovers soon so that should help even more with the launch. Can't wait!!

traction is the biggest problem im sure.. even at high altitude it is turbo charged isnt it nismo? so thinner air is slightly less HP robbing with a turbo... thats why the turbo and supercharge high altitude airplanes that use reciprocating motors... thinner air...

Indeed. Altitude really affects n/a cars. Forced induction cars are still affected, but not as much.

I can attest to altitude sapping power. Guys here in Vegas take their cars to Cali. & take 1/2 a sec off their 1/4 mile times. Lower altitude there.
