z31 Major drivability issues
Hey there!
New member to the forum, but i've been reading threads and the likes since i bought my z31. Long story short i've been searching and searching but havent found anyone with an issue like i'm having and I dont want to start throwing parts at my car!
1984 300zx Turbo M/T with mild mods (Cold air intake, boost controller)
Car will start and run but barely, have to feather the gas to keep it from stalling. You can gradually work it into the high rev range (Think over 3000 RPM) and it seems to run pretty good up there, then as soon as you let it drop you can floor it and its like someone shut off the key.
I've replaced the Crank Angle sensor in the past, so I warrantied it out to see if that could be the issue but no fix there. its strange because I was just driving the car one day and came into boost and thats when it all started.
Tried most of the basics to no avail...
Any help would be appreciated!

need some more data. like fuel pressure, vacuum and ignition timing. lots of things on a z31 can cause weird stuff. maf, chts, fpr for a start. usual tune up stuff. below is some stuff you need to do altho it may not solve your problem:
Get your battery load tested. Be sure you have clean, tight corrosion free terminals on both ends of your battery cables. Be sure the ground (negative) cable goes to a bolt into the frame before going to the starter. grounding through the starter is not a reliable connection. Z's don't like low voltage. causes the electronics to act funny. it is possible to have enough amps to crank but not enough voltage to run the electronics. If you have one size fit all cheapo clamp on terminals they are a problem waiting to happen.
Clean the connectors for the maf or afm, ecu and tps. Deoxit by CAIG is probably the best connector cleaner on the market. spray with CorrosionX after cleaning and before putting together this will help prevent any further corrosion.
