Fillet o' Plenum (Gutted, Too)
As neat as I thought the Pathfinder upper intake looked, the flow test I've read indicated it was not the best choice. Neither did it allow for some of the idle controls I want to incorporate on this build.
Filleted and gutted
Notice the inlets have had the edges relieved to allow smoother air flow
Back from the welding shop. I don't do aluminum, yet.
This top edge (flat aluminum) is going to be milled perfectly smooth.
The little "V" at the front was designed out of my plans and had to go.
I've got some grinding to do.
Machined, drilled, tapped, and placed on the engine. Notice the counter sunk holes for the bolt heads that will be in the air-flow. With them recessed, out of the air, turbulence should be minimized.
Hand cut gasket in place. (I know all the bolts aren't in yet, I'm just taking pictures.)
The plenum cover plate is aluminum plate that I powder-coated high-temp gloss black. (I hope the holes line up.)
Bolts are in and lookin' racy.

if i get my hands on a vg thats pretty much what i want to do to the intake but i would like to move the tb up front. since u can easily relocate the turbos up front seems reasonable. overall looks clean and nice. keep us updated. im still hunting down a vg for a build
