Is this the same car that you were talking about in this older thread? https://www.zdriver.com/forums/300zx-z31-performance-technical-227/car-wont-start-20334/
When an engine doesn't start, it's only 3 things:
#1... improper fuel mix (no fuel, or flooded)
#2... no spark
#3... no air getting to the intake / combustion chamber.
Have you checked these three things?

i no there is air getting into the in take
i bought new spark plugs,
and i can hear the fuel pump on the back of the car, so anyone think it could be fuel injectors? or does a bad fuel filter sound more like it?

Spark plugs are at the end of the line... just because they are new doesn't mean they have to spark. The coil creates the electrical current, sends it to the distrib, which distributes the spark to each wire, then to the plug. See what I'm getting at? Check upline for spark...

okay gotcha, also like i said with the ligheter fluid it'll start the car for just a split second, so doesn't that mean fuel is the problem? if so what kinda fuel problem could it be? fuel pump or could it even be the injectors?

That's a good sign... if you DON'T hear the pump, that's a prob.

Don't replace anything until you know what the problem is. Unless you like wasting money.
Have you checked your fuel pressure? If the fuel pressure is good, more than likely your injectors aren't spraying either because they are clogged, or a sensor not working right.

Get a fuel pressure gauge & hook it up after the fuel filter & before the fuel pressure regulator. If the Z31 has a fuel check / relief valve, you should be able to hook it up there w/ the right adapter.
You have a Haynes or FSM right???

oh hey just a little update, i replaced the fuel filter, and put in injector cleaner, and a new battery cause the old one was drained, then i put the new battery in and it starts making crazy noises and then smoke starts coming from the BRAND NEW battery just bought 30 mins earlier, now im just trying to decide what to do now

i also have another thing to add, my friend wants me to put in a supra engine, or a skyline engine, but i dont know if its worth it.
i wanan put a new engine in it---a really really good one---but i dont really now whats worth it, would it be smarter to rebuild one of those and put it in or rebuild a vg30de, or vg30dett

Your problem can be one or more of many. I would first run the ECU codes and see what errors appear, if any.
If there's no error codes, then we can diagnose from there. It'd help if we knew the history on this car (the mileage, how long you've owned it, what you've replaced since, and what was replaced before you bought it, if you have the receipts or information).
