Newbie doing research
hi all..
New here as you can tell. I'm seriously looking into buying a 300ZX, but am doing some research on them before i commit. I was looking at trying to get a used Z32, but they are a little out of my price range . Sooo...I'm looking at a Z31 instead. But...I want something I can run turbos on. I know of a website that sells complete VG30TT engines with 5spd trannies, and the complete ECU setup and all for about $2000 (which I can hopefully afford soon). What I want to know is, if I end up buying an old school 300ZX, will I be able to use this same engine in it? What is the name of the engine for the older 300ZXs?And, no, for those who are curious, I am NOT buying a 300ZX because I saw TFATF (that movie is sooo crap) and want to be a "Ricer". I plan to build a capable machine out of whatever I buy, and make it look the best it can, and I've liked 300ZXs since I first saw one 7 years ago, lol. But if anyone can tell me if it's hard to build an older 300Zx and what all I have to lookout for, thanks.

300zx's are fun cars great handling speed and all overperformance plus there looks
the engine in a 84-89 300zx is called the vgdoe and the turbo engine is called the vgdoet. im not sure of the name of the engine in z32's but any engine froma z32 will fit in a z31 but it takes alot of custom fabbing of parts and is not at all easy from what ive haerd but it has been done.
