radio wiring short

i bought my second z31 recently, and it was missing the radio. so i went to put the new one in, hooked it up properly and nothing happpened. checked the fuse. it was fine. had one of my friends look at it and he suggested that it was a short. just wondering if somehow by chance there is a certain place that is common for it to short at. just thought i would check here before i paid money to take it to a stereo shop.

Properly?
Nothing happened?

I would re-check the wires you used for the power / ground.

If it's "hooked up properly" then it will work. Therefore, you did NOT hook it up properly.

If you want help, you're going to have to post which wires you hooked up to what and/or take pictures of your wiring job.

could also be the moron PO cut a bunch of wires. You need to get out your VOM and do some checking. Your friend that thought it was a short is not someone to get help from. A short would cause the fuse to blow.
