Welcome to ZDriver!

Things you should consider first:
-The 6speed will have different gear ratios.
-The 6speed will have different bell housing.
-The 6speed will have different size specs which will make fitting a biotch.
-The 6speed will have different output splines, so custom drive shaft needed.

And after all that, unless you daily drive on a rural freeway that has 80mph+ speed limits, you'll never need 6th gear.

But alas, if you have tons of money, and awesome fab skills, get to it!

I highly doubt it... since I don't think "6 speeds" even existed in the normal car market when the Z31 was designed in the 80's.

I searched the google machine for ya...

Good read (ZBum is always direct and to the point ): http://z31.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=9367
