Cowl top grill removal

In BF 23 of 46 in the FSM I see two clips that hold the passenger side cowl top grill on (only one visible in the manual's illustration). I have removed the2, yet the grill doesn't seem to want to come out easily. I am trying to remove this grill so I can work on the battery area more easily. Any recommendations? Are there any tricks to getting this grill off?

You might have to remove the driver's side too as it's holding the passenger section down at one end. All the screws and clips should be visible.

There are two screws under the hood and two more plugs in the mesh area that have to be removed for it to come off.

You do not need to remove the driver's side cowling. FYI....it may be a good idea to just order new clips.

Yeah I wasn't for sure. I remember replacing mine and there being a tab on the passenger side with the drivers side resting on top of it.

The passenger side rests on top of the other 75% of the cowling because of th resaon he posted. To allow access to the battery. BTW since were on the subject of taking things apart. Does anyone have the part number to the shoehorn to remove the (insert engine component).
