Glovebox Door Latch

Glovebox Door Latch
Hi everyone,
I'm new to this forum. My wife is the original owner of a '93 300ZX 2+2. She recently had the glovebox door fall open going over a speedbump. Since then, this has become a common issue, with the door more and more difficult to latch close. I've looked at the latch and see a u-shaped catch mounted to the glovebox frame and v-shaped, spring-loaded mechanism that rotates on a metal pin inside the glovebox door itself. The door doesn't want to latch closed at this point, and neither the glovebox door handle nor the locking mechanism seem to have any effect on the latching mechanism. I've probed the v-shaped mechanism with a flat screwdriver and it seems to rotate about 30 degrees on the small pin. Any suggestions on how to fix this?
Thanks!

Do a search. I had the same problem and found the solution by searching. There's a plastic piece that breaks and lets the spring and pin fall out. I super glued the piece back and then put a zip-tie on it for extra strength. I put the spirng and the pin back and it works perfectly. You have to remove the whole golve box and then the interior plastic piece. Not hard to do
