well today i just realized he's a huge ricer...he pulls up in my driveway and pulls this long box out of his car, and he's like....come on man i'll pay you to do this...please install my neons......i was like what the hell, and made $50....now i feel bad, but if i didn't do it for him someone else would have, and at least i did it right so his car won't catch on fire or anything, bc there are a lot of people who just wire everything to the battery with no fuses or anything ... i call those people dumba$$es

Agreed.
Who lets these ppl work on their cars? Reminds me of the car audio "experts" that seem to populate the local Best Buys and Circuit City Stores.

i strongly agree Riz ...the same guy who wants that wing on got some indiglow gauges, and he wanted me to install them for him... i was really busy that week so i was like i'll do it next week man, and he's like thats cool.... he takes it to circuit city, and pays $100....ok they damaged one of the gauges, so it doesn't glow, they broke the plastic that goes over the dash, they even cracked that clear plastic that covers the dash, and now his whole dash rattles and his gauge doesn't work

My brother got a car started installed and it messed up the transmission on his car for some reason. It was installed at the local best buy.

Then, yes they messed up again.

They put a starter/alarm system in his other car and the alarm went off every 45 mintues.

He had a starter installed by BEST BUY?!? I have to say it serves him right. That'd almost be as bad as having a triple bypass surgery done by your mechanic.

yea, I was thinking that too. Why'd he go to best buy to get a starter installed?!

not starter, he probably meant to say remote start.... it had to be an automatic then... and in case you haven't heard what remote start is... you push a button on your keychain, and the car starts up... it's good in cold weather, oh thats right not all of us live in San Diego now do they???

that makes sense! Didn't think about that. And people have remote starters here..but it's for show. And I let my car warm up to normal operating temp before I drive it.

Good boy Emo!!! yeah around here those actually serve some purpose.... when i lived at home i'd take my moms car to school sometimes since it was automatic, and i installed the starter, so i would start it from my bed, jump in a shower and get dressed and jump in the car, all warmed up. they usually cut off in about 10-15 mins. pretty cool thing. i used to turn it on when people would be walking by, and they would be what the hell....fun days in high school
