i think red is a really sweet color. some colors just dont look good on different colors. but red on a ferrari f430, thats hawt, lol. im not sure how you get the idea it gives it a stock look, lol. sleepers rule. but yea im going with the black scheme, it looks more aggressive.

 

The only color I DO NOT like on the Z32 is that Aztec GOLD. I m sorry if u own one, but that is one ugly color.

I have the original black. I need a repaint but I am hesitant to do it because the original is such a beautiful 3 stage job from the factory. If you go black there is a big difference in it. When clean the three stage metalic black is killer. zleeper
Oh yeah. Black shows dirt and every little ding. Gotta wash it all the time to keep looking good. Others agree?

Im trying to get an idea of what it would cost me to get my whole car resprayed so it all matches with a fresh coat.

Havent decided if i want to try to get the oem white or if i want a different brite white.

 

Not exactly a Z, but I used a little less than a gallon of color coat and the same amount of clear coat on the exterior of my '62 ranchero. I also used 2-1/2 gallons of acetone.

 

i just had a big talk with my mentor about this two days ago...ill see what i remember

the z's stock paint has like 4 different layers of paint that needs to be sprayed on, along with primer and clear coat.
i believe that for 3 quarts of the color it will cost you 300-400(ill get back to you on that...it doesnt sound right)
uroprimer is around 16 a pint
i forget what the price of clear coat is.

next time i see my mentor i will get a quote for just materials for the whole car

ok also looking for a really pure white.like the white text on the top banner of this site white. i love my white z but its badly in need of paint and im going to have the engine out here soon in order to finish my swap so i figured why not get it sprayed too.....was looking at paints and the best white ive found so far is a House of Kolor paint and thats gonna be massivley expensive at almost 105.00 a gallon. for just the base.

Anyone have any good suggestions.

 

very true. im not for sure doing it anytime soon. more stuff to do before i paint it. im trying to move down to florida, so maybe once i move there. i also need a new tint job. i do love the pearl white tho.
