18x7.5in Rims
#5
The 275's are a bit bigger. I run 35 series tires. If I remember correctly, the 275/35/18's stood about 1/2" - 3/4" taller than the OEM rears. I just compared the two wheel/tires side by side. My oldtires were worn, so when new, the difference would be even less.

B & 91,
You guys are running 275's on a 7.5" wide rim?
So, my stupid question above assumes he is going to put 7.5's on the rear and if so, he can't get 275's. Not that you have that...what width are the wheels are you running with that rubber?

Oops. Missed that part. I don't think Superman could mount a 275/35 on a 7.5" wheel. Time to order Hooked on 'Phonics'.
Since you have a TT, I'm assuming that you're going to do some modifications down the road. 245's are fine for stock, but you will want to go larger with mods so that you can get better grip. I have 9' inch wide wheels, or maybe 9.5". F*ck, I don't know. I can't remember. I run either 8's & 9's or 8.5's and 9.5's (F/R). I guess I'm not much help on this one. :bump:

My rims have cast in numbers that say 16 x 7.5 JJ and see page #21 in the general info of the online manual

^^^2nd. If you go with larger than 255's in the rear, then you can't rotate them. They won't fit up front. Anything is possible if you went with 255's or smaller in the rear, so you could rotate them, but the car would handle so miserably with larger tires on the front than in the rear that you would switch them back right away.

Actually, it is possible to rotate the tires if you have different sizes in front from rear. It's a bit more difficult than regular rotation where all tire sizes are the same.
First you can only rotate from right to left and vice versa.
Second you'd have to remove and remount each tire to do so. If you have stock TT wheels, you can't exchange rims since they're directional and the tires would have to be removed and remounted cuz they're directional as well.
There you have it the long and difficult and not worth doing way of rotating the tires of different sized wheels on the same car.
I recommend a shop that has a tire mounting machine if you decide to do this.

Golly geez!! $2000 sounds a little too rich for my broke butt! I actually really, really want to get some Volk GT-C's for my Z32, but damn they're even more expensive!! As I was browsing the Internet the other day, however, I saw these ADR chromes with staggered setup for only $500 a set brand new....and since my buddy has hookup for tires, I'm really tempted! But if anything, I'll probably wait until spring time....since my car will be hibernating this winter and won't be able to enjoying anything new until then...
