Funny noise while braking hard.
Just a quick question to see if I'm the only one that has this.
When I hit my brakes hard, rolling or parked, if I pass a certain point in the downward pedal motion I get a loud "FWEEEP" noise almost as though I'm bleeding off pressure or something which can either be quick or drawn out for a second or two. If I'm moving there is no loss in stopping power when this happens and I have never had a brake fluid leak so I don't think that is an issue. The pads and rotors are new (less than 10k miles) and the noise isn't coming from them anyways, it's most definately not brake squeek.
I have read that the brakes on the Z32 are vaccuum assisted, could this be exactly what it sounds like, a harmless pressure bleed? I've heard this noice come from other Z's in the area so I'm not the only one
Any ideas?

Mine does that exact thing also. It happens when starting out in the mornings and also when I brake significantly hard. I believe it's the abs pump pressurizing the abs system. I just assumed it's normal. I came to find out that there's a brake bleeder at the abs pump behind the passenger seat. From another post around here, I've come to the conclusion that there is air in the abs system that causes this. I haven't bled mine there yet, but I will next week when I completely flush the system.
