original what from a 90?

well....my front left strut started to squeek......so i check the struts...and they are the original 148k 1990 struts....i was like......damn. So anyways im gonna get the tokico HP series....couldnt stretch for the illumina $$$....but that reminded me of this year at battl of the imports at route 66 when i raced int he fun run, no matter what i did i had some mad wheel hop and im on 17x9 in the rear with potenza soe-3....so with that set up i couldnt grasp why when i launched and eased on the cluth i would wheel hop no matter what....and i was wondering if the tokico struts would help me with that...my one budy i race with thinks it will....id like to think it will but not to sure

you might also want some Subframe spacers. those help reduce most ofthe wheel hop.

Yet, the new shocks will eliminate most of that wheel hop.

punctuation and easily comprehendable sentences help as well.... Yes, the new shocks will elminate wheel hop ALOt, especially if yours are blown. When you replace them, go ahead and replace all your bushings and bump stops and such as well.

its only been like one week ive been Z less cuase i got it up on jack stands with no suspension in it, you miss that car fast. but i will probably change out alot of those bushings later. thanks for the in put though, glad to know that wheel hop will be eliminated a decent amount. im not gonna lie, wheel hop is one of the worst feelings when it happens, it makes me cringe.

do the bushings while your compressing springs, to save ALOT of time, especially the back.

Are you sure that it is the strut that is squeaking? It could be the rubber stopper under the hood on the left side. Give it a few turns CC and see of that stops the squeaking. No doubt, you do need new shocks, but they don't usually squeak that much.
