tein basic coilovers

nissan 300zx with tein basics...cant find it online. but i found some used ones through ads. i was wondering if anyone was using this setup. if someone can give me some more info(how they ride, if they were worth it), so i can make a better decision in buying a used set, i would appreciate it a lot.

aftermarket suspension

ive spent a long time looking at differnt suspension set ups for the Z (aftermarket) if you are like me you like the ability to adjust them from a switch in your car instead of grabbing a couple spanners and popping the hood and removing panels to adjust them the hard way. I wasn't able to find Tein Basic dampners for the z32, maybe i am wrong but i don't know if they make them new anymore or ever made them for this car.. I did however see supersports and flex and HAs all from Tein. the frist 2 are compatible with the EDCU that tein puts out for an extra 360$. the last one is not. I think the supersports are probably what you want to go with. Ive read the reviews and they seem to be able to adjust from touring softness well past the sport stiffness of the factory electronicly adjustable suspension. they are also height adjustable from like 0.7 inch drop to nearly 2 inch drop ( you can get actual numbers from thier website) I think most people who go with them stay with them only cause i never see them for sale used...which is kinda odd if you think about it. Just know what you want them for, you are probably not going to make your car into a track car or get into the low 10's in the quarter mile with them as part of your suspension set up but you might find them to be more than adequete for daily driving. I think the guys that have the kyb + ebiach spring set up can attest to that as a good set up if you aren't in the mood for coilover and they are slightly less expensive. Ive heard good things about K2s, Ksports, Teins, tokico illuminas with a good set of springs. In the end its up to you on what you want as far as ride quality. Good luck.

good setup, pretty cheap, got mine for abuot 700 total (including alignment and camber correction). literally takes 30 seconds to adjust.

just a simple question

did you actually read the other forum posts? i don't see anyone who says they actually make them or has proof they make them. We all agree that TEIN makes the SS, HA, and FLEX for the Z32 and thats about it. Have fun!

That website is wrong

Basic Damnpers from Tein are thier low ends, they have them selling for 900-1200$???? that makes no sense, I think those are just mislabled Supersports which you can get for about 900$ Go to the Tein website, if they don't sell them there then its a good bet they don't make them, better yet CALL tein or email them directly and ask them, im sure they will give you the correct answer and you wont have to look through 100 other websites to find 1 or 2 mislabled suspensions. but if you really want them for 1200$ ill get you a pair of SS and just write Basic on the lable for ya.
