When it warps, it'll be sufficient reason to buy an RPS segmented flywheel.

You wanna sell them?

Also, don't forget to have your pressure plate and flywheel balanced.

I'd rather Do something NOW then Later to be honest... Last thing I want is to pull the trans out after only a few thousand miles.

Uh, If I wont be needing them when I get my EBC, Then sure.

And I think I'll go the "Better safe then sorry" route and get new ones.

Ok I have. Turbos that are withing their wear limits that also have the manifolds, quarter pipes, and oil lines still. (Keeping the coolant lines and the in and out of the compressor side) Good Stock injectors that have solid uncracked pintles with the rails. (keeping the lower plentum and getting 300 Degree rails) and the dual core FMIC with pipes.

How much do you think all that stuff is actually worth so I can put up a fair price for it and get it out of my shop?

EDIT (instead of a 3rd post): the stock early TT wing. IS A BITCH TO GET OFF I knew it had some glue but holy ****! I'm shocked I didnt ruin anything more then the paint and the wing! Anyways I removed it cuz I was getting scared of it. I could see rust peaking around the lips of it and when I pulled it off that entire steel plate on the inside was rusted so badly I could poke though it. thankfully the car itself is fine. I have no clue how I'm gonna get all this dried rubberized glue off tho...

The EBC has it's own solenoids that control the boost.

How the hell do you get the exhaust side of the turbo off short of beating on it with a rubber mallet??? I got the bolts off of it and everything. is it pressed in there or something?

I'm trying to take the Exhaust side and compressor side off, mainly out of curiosity, and I found you can still buy new CHRAs (what does that mean? I'm guessing its the core part of the turbo with the blades on it) for fairly cheap. and I might rebuild my stock ones.

Complete Housing and Rotating Assembly. Includes the center section including bearings, and the compressor and turbine wheels.

Regarding removing the turbine housing, I've never had to do it... google it.

Put it in a vise, soak it in PB blaster and carefully beat it off with a hammer.

I just found out I can get Z1 to send me an entire front clip from a JDM TT send to my driveway for about $6000 (with shipping) and that will have everything I need to fix this Z right. Thats cheaper then what I was looking at just to buy all the parts I need, course I was looking at higher performance parts tho...

Hmm...

Screw paying $6k for a front clip, you could buy a decent TT for that price.

I just tallied up my parts list for my 500-600HP rebuild and I'm at closer to $8K or $9K course thats quite a bit ore power then a stock TT

Hmm, buy a new new TT, Rebuild the current TT, or get a JDM TT front clip.

If you have $6k in cash I would look for a new TT and part out the old one, or get a TT clip.

I'm buying parts over the course of a year. But if I rebuild my current TT, for about the same price as a clip/new Z I'd have between 500 and 600HP.

So I guess I'll just keep with the idea of rebuilding mine.

$6k for a front clip? Try $3K.

And what question on tt.net?

Oh sweet! Thanks for the link, I might just do that and keep with stock power for now lol

And the question was asking if I can use a manual trans alt/trans harnesses on an auto trans car so I can clean up the engine bay.

I don't believe you can use a manual harness on an auto trans, because the auto trans has additional electronic input requirements.

And yes, the front clip is always the way to go when converting - you'll have everything you need (except fuel pump and FPCU), just have to swap it all over.

Ya, I was looking at the cost of everything I need to replace and I was at almost $9K in parts, course that was all new performance parts lol.

and uh, the Auto trans didnt play and roles with the ABS system did it? Ever sense the swap the ABS light never turns off even tho the brakes are fine
