EGR Malfunction

EGR Malfunction
So I got the ECU code 32 for an EGR malfunction the other day while driving my car on the freeway for about 30 minutes. So i do some research on how to check if the valve is working. I also hear the EGR valve is a pain to replace in these cars hence the deletes. I just wanted to know if there's anything potentially dangerous with driving my Z with a malfunctioning EGR besides from what I've read, hesitation, stumbling, etc etc. I just increased my idle to 700~800 to combat the RPM dropping and falling and then sometimes stalling out.

If the EGR is stuck open, it will cause hot exhaust gasses to enter the combustion chamber and risk detonation (not guaranteed, but a legitimate risk). Answer your question?
If it's stuck closed, no big deal.
Enlighten yourself, as I once did:

I can't really tell how to check if it's stuck open or closed. Is there some kinda special way to do that in a Z32? Other methods say to suck on the vacuum line but it's just so dam picked in the back
