Engine Check Light On?
Engine Check light was on when i was driving
sooo i check ECU Codes and the code was 55 which mean there nothing wrong with it right?
but why would the engine check light go on but the ECU says theres nothing wrong man im confused
I am positive the codes said 55 i check a few times to be sure of it
any advise ppl

it prob. doesn't make any difference, but which way did you check? bridging the wires in the diagnostics harness under the drivers side dash, or using the screw on the ecu?
sounds like a malfunctioning light to me. or a bad ECU

No, the only reason the check engine light would come on is if there was an error code.
And if the check engine light was not on when you checked it, then there was no error code to pull and that's why you got 55. The ECU thought the problem was fixed (or perhaps it was a loose wire that reconnected).

well i guess so
it didnt come on today but i should be more attention just in case it goes on again so i can check the ECU code on the spot to see whats wrong

for checking on the spot you should look up which slots on that harness to bridge so that you don't need to pull up the floorboard if you don't have time. you just stick a wire in and look at the check engine light
