Engine mount removal

Is it possible to replace an engine mount without pulling the engine completely? I poked around in the manual but I can't really figure out how the thing would come out. I know it bolts to a bracket on the engine and to the steering rack (if I remember correctly) but then there's a kind of hooked lip on it, how is that seated/fastened?

I'm wondering about the possibility since I'm not equipped to pull the engine.

Highly doubtful, the mounts are bolted one side to the block and the other stright to the frame. The whole engine sits on the mounts and mounts only. You can't remove the mount unless you lift up the engine.

If your careful you can put a block of wood ontop of a jack and gently lift of the engine from the oil pan. You can unbolt just the rubber part of the mount but Im not sure how you would get to the upper bolt with the mount still on the engine in the car.
