fairlady Z?

i was recently corrected by several tt.net members for saying something along the lines of "my car isn't a fairlady". i said this because the car is left hand drive, sold in the states, therefore was not sold with the fairlady badge. the confusion stemmed because of a picture of my car with the added fairlady badge.

so, is it safe or not safe to say that my LHD sold in USA Z is not a fairlady, and that RHD sold in japan Z's are fairladys? i'd like to hear what the calm and pleasant people here have to say about that. thanks!

All Z's are Fairladies. The *only* reason they weren't marketed as so is because the marketing department knew that such a name wouldn't fly well with a predominantly male customer base, especially in America.

Which part of "no longer in production" was the hardest to understand?

well i searched for pictures of stillens old and new. i didn't just look at the website

anyway, i get now that the car really IS a fairlady, but my point was that when one see's the fairlady badge, they think JDM RHD. which it is not. that's why i said what i did. but i choose the wrong words
