first Z32 question!
Alright i just got back from my girlfriends house which is about 15 miles away. I popped the hood just to look under it and i noticed something. The little connector thats like at the very top of the engine behind the penilum right dead center behind it, the wire cover was coming off and the wire was exposed and it was pretty hot. What is that connector for?

its probably the knock sensor, and if its disconnected look for a little 1megaohm resistor ghetto rigged into there somehwere, if you find one then you most likely have a bad knock sensor and someone bypassed it

btw is this what your talking about?
ah, I misread your first post... for some reason I thought you said was disconnected, I'd say wrap it with high temp silicone based electrical tape, not the regular vinyl based kind, the silicone will have a more waterproof seal and bonds better to itself. unless you feel like taking the connector off and putting some heatshrink or coldshrink on there
