Not to mention the fact that didnt have cameras on the ground level, and the cop told me "this stuff happens all the time, the chances of us finding out who do it is slim to non."
Great justice system, good thing the guy didnt hit a person.

the crying was just a pose, but it might as well have been real.
i was with three of my friends at the time, including my girlfriend, and they were all speechless.
i wanted to kill someone.
my girlfriend was like, its just a car, itll be ok.
some broads just dont get it.

if you paid to park in the garage, i'd ohld them responsible if the person who did it can't be found. I remember one time in high school someone swiped a buddy of mines car and i told him to hold the school responsible, since we had ot pay to park there, and it's public property in the first place (so it should be free), he had a lawyer call the school, school fixed his ****... paid the lawyer nothing, took 5 minutes of his time...

that's awesome. same thing happened in my school, but the school instead just did what they needed to get the person that did it. i guess that's the good part of having assigned parking spots. i do miss high school just a little bit.

considering the receipt you get from most parking garages usually states something along the lines of "not responsible for theft or damage" i doubt you'll get anything out of them. believe it or not, that's a binding legal contract.

Also, the receipt is handed to someone after the transaction. You can not change terms of a contract after words unless both parties agree to it... "here's my money, watch my car making sure nothing happens to it"... "ok, by the way, were not responsible if something does." does NOT work. In a legal sence, it would have to be "You can park here, but were not repsonsible", "ok here's my money and my car" type deal. In the end, if your paying someone to watch your ****, they have a right to make sure no harm comes to it, and in a "high risk" environment such as a parking garage, there should be cameras and routine patrols through it, and time logs of what car leaves when, as well as a camera of the entrance and exit to document liscence plate numbers should be kept, with these things, who ever did it could EASILY be cought just by examining the time slips of when you arrived, when you found the damage, and who all entered or left during those time periods. A smart criminal would hit your ****, say oh ****, park on a different level of the garage, and call a cab. haha
In the end, the damage looked minor so it probably isn't worth the effort or time to pursue it.
btw i might have a turn signal light somewhere you can have for free if you cover the shipping since it looks like yours got busted.

that is true to a certain degree. But they also have an inherit duty and responsibility to prevent damage as well and catch said people that damage things and do not report it. By not having camera's on all floors, one could argue (very successfully) that they were not doing that. The real question is it worth the time and effort to pursue it.

legally, they have no obligation to protect your property. there are always signs posted stating their limited liability. what you are paying for is a spot to leave your car, not for any assurance of the security of said car. by parking your car there, you have agreed to the terms and conditions of the garage, which always state they have no responsibility should your property be damaged or stolen.
