Hicas

I have a Z31 and just got a Z32 300zxTT. I'm not too familiar with the HICAS rear stearing. Can someone help me out on this? What does it stand for and how does it work/

I'm not sirewhat it stands for. but i believe it is.
High Inteligence C Asistant Steering.

and what it basically does. is after a sertain speed when you turn the shee. the back tires also turn. so teh car can switchlanes, or turn much faster, easier, and eficient.

ok, you were definitely way off on what it stands for bardabe.
This is what it actually stands for: High Capacity Actively Controlled Suspension (don't ask me how they figured "hicas" to stand for all that). It's a fancy way to say 4-wheel steering. At certain speeds (like bardabe said), it will turn your back wheels slightly.

thanks

Thanks for the info. Does any one know if the Mustang Cobra SVT Five star wheels will fit 300ZXTT? The lug pattern matches, but will the points clear the brake calipers without spacers.

People have used cobra wheels before if that's what you're talking about. They fit fine, the problem with them is that the hub-centric bore (hub mounting ring thing) is too big. You can have a machine shop make you some though without any problems.

Hey, my HICAS light flickering on and off. It stays when cold. and when warm it comes on at high rpm. Any ideas about that this?

check your fluid level. If low, fill it with ATF Dexron III only (no, the power steering system on the Z32 does NOT take power steering fluid)
