Hid Color Faded?

Hey guys, I started to notice my Hids color is fading...
When I first got them they were bright a blue. 8000K bulbs
Its been like almost a year now since I installed them and now they're starting to look just white..
Is it just the type of bulb I used?
Why did the color change?

I'm assuming that I should just get a set of new Bulbs.

Unless theres something wrong with the Ballast too?
Need help guys

I'm going to take a wild "stab in the dark" and say you bought a cheap ebay HID kit?

... pun intended with the "stab in the dark" in the HID problem thread?

2nd, though.

"Buy cheap, buy twice."

Wow... for $80 I'm surprised they worked at all. There's a reason OEM HID's cost $500-$1500. I know that BMW OEM HID kits are $800-$1000.

These guys are pretty well known for aftermarket HID's: http://myworld.ebay.com/ebaymotors/mtecpower/

Their generic HID kit ($220): http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MTEC-...item1c110e4c1a

But I've never dealt w/ them.

you'd be doing well to get OEM z32 HID's for under $1500. after the mod they need to be LHD has been done they are just not cheap at all.

i agree.. a decent kit should last a year or so..you pay for what you get really.

Don't mind him - he's already discounted his credibility on subjects relating to electronics.
