Hood support struts

why? i guess i could see some sort of convenience out of it, but its not liek the hood weighs much at all, plus you gotta make it mechanically fit and move right without binding and hide them cleanly, i guess i just dont see the benifit that much thats all.

Advice from anyone who's at least attempted it would be appreciated.

see motorized popping of the hood would be cool, then use the struts so its less strain on the motors lifting the hood. i can totally agree with that....kinda pointless....but also very appealing at the same time.
im not gonna lie, me n my friends contimplated on using this old civic hatch gas struts to help lift and keep our hoods up, but after hours of looking uner the hood, decided theres no good way to mount them. nor a good mechanically functioning way to mount them so they work properly, at least not from what we could see. after that the idea just lost its appeal, hence why i think its pointless.
